Grey's River Roundup Print
Originally painted by Bria Hammock on an oak barrel head from Pine Bluffs Distilling, **Grey’s River Roundup** is inspired by a cowboy poem of the same name. A horse fills the frame in bold blocks of blue, cream, orange and green, with just enough of the surrounding structure showing to make you wonder what’s happening outside the edges.
The close crop gives this one a quieter, more intimate feel than a traditional roundup scene. Instead of showing the whole story, it catches one small piece of it and leaves the rest open. The original seams, grain and texture of the oak barrel remain visible in the print, adding to the character of the piece and keeping the original surface part of the story.
