Painted by Bria on an oak barrel head from Pine Bluffs Distilling, Don’t Fence Me In is inspired by Bob Fletcher’s cowboy poem of the same name. A bear and three coyotes gather beneath the moon in a scene that feels equal parts wild, playful, and a little mysterious.
Are they dancing, circling, celebrating, or just caught in some strange bit of nighttime business? That uncertainty is part of the fun. Like the poem, the piece leans into freedom, mischief, and the kind of open-ended Western storytelling that leaves room for the viewer to decide what’s really going on out there.
