Spring Print
Originally painted by Bria Hammock on an oak barrel head from Pine Bluffs Distilling, **Spring** is inspired by a cowboy poem of the same name. A few of pronghorn stand along a fence line under a wide Wyoming sky, with one looking straight out at the viewer while the other lingers farther back in the pasture.
Bright yellows, greens, blues and violets give the piece that fresh, just-coming-alive feeling that fits the title. It feels quiet, but not still. Like something is shifting, greening up, waking back up again. The original seams, grain and texture of the oak barrel remain visible in the print, adding to the character of the piece and keeping part of the original surface in the story.
