The Mountain Print
Originally painted by Bria Hammock on an oak barrel head from Pine Bluffs Distilling, **The Mountain** is inspired by a cowboy poem of the same name. A pair of cattle stand in front of an old wagon, dwarfed by the huge blue mountain rising behind them.
Deep blues and purples give the mountain its weight, while yellows, oranges and soft greens bring the foreground to life. It feels like one of those Western scenes where the land is doing most of the talking, and everything else is just passing through it. The original seams, grain and texture of the oak barrel remain visible in the print, adding to the character of the piece and keeping part of the original surface in the story.
