Be a Top Hand Print
Originally painted by Bria Hammock on an oak barrel head from Pine Bluffs Distilling, **Be a Top Hand** is inspired by a cowboy poem of the same name. A woman rides straight through a herd, rope at her side, holding her own in the middle of all that movement.
Bright yellows, oranges, blues and purples push the piece forward and give it a sense of confidence without making it feel too polished or posed. She looks like she belongs exactly where she is, which is really the whole point. The original seams, grain and texture of the oak barrel remain visible in the print, adding to the character of the piece and keeping a little bit of the original surface with it.
