Field Trip

Originally exhibited at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens from June-August 2022.

As an adult, the nostalgic mention of a field trip conjures up feelings of excitement, anticipation and a curiosity for what new knowledge will be collected. My art practice is typically invested in color exploration in the form of western fauna and the study of flora is a new artistic pursuit for me. Inspired by my kids’ love of field trips to the gardens and my elation around new creative exploration, Field Trip was born… a colorful + contemporary visual journey alongside a herd of western animals uncovering their fascination for greenery found around the globe.
